Nymrod, born Corry P. Stokes, often referred to as "God's Gift and the world future" and "The Voice of New York" is a NYC based rapper, songwriter, music label executive, and business entrepreneur who grew up in the Cooper Projects in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY.
Nymrod started his career as an artist while serving a 5-year prison sentence. It was during that time that Nymrod met Maxx B who not only became a loyal friend but a mentor who quickly recognized Nymrod's talent for writing and encouraged him to start songwriting professionally. He perfected his craft over the next 5 years and turned it into a professional career upon release from prison.
In 2015, Nymrod launched his own record label and became both CEO and Music Label Executive of Federal District Ent. Corp. Shortly after, he connected with Dipset members Jim Jones and Cameron and featured in Jones' "ballin" music video. He has collaborated with Redman, The Weekend, Melo, The Heatmakerz, H.E.R., PMD of EPMD, Spliff Star, Junior Reid, Tyga, Vado, and Fred The Godson.
A good portion of Nymrod's fan base comes from his performances. During his career, he has graced some of the country’s biggest stages. He has performed at the legendary NYC venue SOB's alongside Fred The Godson, Rah Digga, The Lox, and Onyx; headlined 2018's Hot 97 Summer Jam; DJ Drewski's Long Island Artist Showcase; as well as Columbus, Ohio's The Rock Festival with the iconic band Evanescence. As his fan base grew, he was invited to headline venues across the US and a three week multi--city tour in Tokyo.
As Nymrod's success became evident, he became an entrepreneur launching several companies across multiple industries: clothing - Federal District Clothing; real estate -JES Consultants; stock market - CNC Stocks; and a moving company - BNC Movers. High end jeweler Exotic Jewelers also sponsor him.
Nymrod is currently performing, making press runs, and working on the release of his next album due in November 2022.
